UMISO3481 is galvanically-isolated differential line transceivers for TIA/EIA RS-485 applications. The device supports 5kVRMS insulation withstand voltages, while providing high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions at low power consumption.
Any cabled I/O can be subjected to electrical noise transients from various sources. The device’s bus pins can endure high levels of IEC electrostatic discharge (ESD) and IEC electrical fast transient (EFT) events. The isolated device can significantly increase protection and reduce the risk of damage to expensive control circuits.
