Halogen Free Compliance Declaration
We hereby declare that Analog & Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits delivered by us arecomplying with Halogen free requirements. (Br〈900ppm, Cl〈900ppm, Br+Cl〈1500ppm)
REACH Compliance Declaration
We hereby also certify Analog & Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits manufactured by Union Semiconductor, Inc. are fully comply with the related requirements of European Union Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH):
1. Under the structure of the REACH regulation, Union Semiconductor, Inc. is a manufacturer of “ARTICLES” to our EU customers (according to ECHA’s guidance for articles, the electronic components shall be considered as articles). We do not manufacture “substances” or “preparations” and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances”. Accordingly, we foresee no registration or pre-registration or Authorization requirement for the products we supplied.
2. With regard to the requirement of Article 33 of REACH: Duty to communicate information on substances in articles. We declare that none of the SVHCs (the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern for authorization currently released by ECHA till the date of Dec. 2014), is present in Union Semiconductor products (and also package) in quantities totaling in a concentration equal or above 0.1%.
3. With regard to the requirement of Article 67 of REACH: A substance on its own, in a preparation or in an article, for which Annex XVII, contains a restriction shall not be manufactured, placed on the market or used unless it complies with the conditions of that restriction. We declare that none of the substances in the Condition of restriction is present in Union Semiconductor product (and also package).
As REACH regulation is updated frequently, for the major changes afterwards, such as the addition of SVHC substances into Annex XIV, the addition of restricted substances in Annex XVII, Union Semiconductor will evaluates the further revise in time and update this declaration to reflect these change.
We further declare that all the statements in this letter are true and accurate. We are also aware that we will be liable for any direct damage incurred by your company arising from our breach of any declarations in this letter. The amount of damage shall be determined by an irrevocable judgment of competent judicial or relevant authorities.

Conflict Materials Statement
There has been increased awareness of violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from a location described as the “Conflict Region”, which is situated in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries.
The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) have requested that companies undertake reasonable due diligence with their supply chain to assure that specified metals are not being sourced from mines in the Conflict Region, which is controlled by non-government military groups, or unlawful military factions.
Union Semiconductor supports the actions of the EICC and GeSI. Union Semiconductor’s products are to be conflict free, meaning that they do not contain tantalum, tin, gold or tungsten that direct or indirectly finances or benefits armed groups in the Conflict Region. We are committed to ensuring conflict free sourcing of metals from our supply chain through collaboration with our suppliers.
We require the assurance of our suppliers that any such metals are not being sources from mines in Conflict Region. Supplier must ensure that all metals sold to or used to manufacture products for use by Union Semiconductor originate from certified conflict free smelters validated as compliant to the EICC/GeSI Conflict Free Smelter protocol, using the CFS Compliant Smelter List.
Based on the information we have gathered from our suppliers, as of this moment Union Semiconductor does not use metals sourced from the Conflict Region in the manufacture of our products. Supplier conformance and incorporation of new requirements are an on-going process. We will continue to review and ensure conflict free.
